Marisa is a Texan who moved to Washington after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Government in 2020. Like many others, she lost her job in March 2020 in a Covid layoff. Deciding it was as good a time as any, she packed up her things and moved across the country.

Prior to coming to Causey Wright, Marisa had a pretty varied work background from waitressing to bartending and making coffee, casting custom jewelry, and ordering prescription lenses and other eyewear. Causey Wright caught her eye as a way to do work that was really helping people, as well as offering an exciting opportunity to learn about a totally new field. Marisa reports finding a lot of satisfaction in playing even a small part in advocating for injured workers and looks forward to working hard and learning more about workers’ compensation. She continues to amaze us as she conquers every new task she is assigned.

When not at work, you can catch Marisa on King County Metro, reading, watching movies, trying out new vegetarian recipes, or taking long walks through our beautiful city.
